At INAXUS, I build the mobile experience for a live enterprise construction and document management platform used across the UAE and GCC. I joined as a Software Engineer in September 2022 and was promoted to Lead Software Engineer after two years. I now own the mobile stack as its sole engineer, from architecture and development to store publishing and post-launch support.
The challenge
Construction teams need access to project information while working on sites where connectivity can be unreliable. Snag creation, document approvals, reporting and collaboration need to remain practical in the field, while keeping the wider project team up to date.
Offline-first mobile workflows
I designed an offline-first architecture and implemented background synchronization, including work with Kotlin Coroutines. The application supports offline snag creation and auto-sync so field teams can continue working in low-connectivity conditions. Real-time synchronization and interface improvements also supported document approval and reporting workflows.
AI-assisted document work
I integrated Google Gemini API calls for document search and summary generation. This brings AI assistance into the existing construction workflow, helping teams review information and produce project summaries without leaving the mobile experience.
Ownership beyond the code
My role includes architecture decisions, development, App Store and Google Play publishing, crash monitoring, compliance and post-launch fixes. I work directly with product, engineering and client stakeholders, and have run product walkthroughs, demonstrations and UAT with project engineers and site teams.
Reported outcome
During my Software Engineer role, real-time sync and UI/UX improvements reduced manual document approval and reporting work by 30%. The platform remains live for enterprise clients across the UAE and GCC.
